Certified translations

A certified translation is a translation of a document from a foreign language into the national language or vice versa which bears the signature and stamp of a licensed translator in the relevant languages and that must be submitted to public agencies or bodies as well as private organizations.

Non-certified translations

A non-certified translation is a translation of a document from a foreign language into the national language or vice versa which does not require the signature or the stamp of a licensed translator.

Revision

Revision consists in verifying that the translation remains faithful to the source text, i.e. checking the translated text against the original text. In this process, any mistakes that may have been made are detected, including false friends, ambiguities, or omissions. In addition, specific terminology is reviewed for correctness and the translation is carefully examined for comprehension and fluency.

Proofreading

Proofreading consists in correcting grammar, spelling, typographical, and stylistic mistakes, among others. In order to carry out this process, only the translated text is used.
